How I Got Here...
Born in Texas, daughter of a chemist and contractor/entrepreneur, I found my passion for food and health at a very early age. Tagging along with my parents and relatives to work I was able to meet a great variety of people from all walks of life, all with similar health issues. At this time type two diabetes was rampant in the U.S. and I immediately started studying the science of the human body, sugar and food. This led to years of research, training, volunteering, trial and error. I attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY to further my restaurant and food education which led to many years in the restaurant industry holding a variety of positions over the past 15 years. I am a chef, mixologist, butcher and personality specializing in food science, health and body specific nutrition but my passion and life dedication is to share what I have learned and experienced with others so that they may take control of their lives and their health.
